Bearing Characteristics of Helical Pile Foundations for Offshore Wind Turbines in Sandy Soil

نویسندگان

چکیده

Helical pile foundations are a new foundation type for offshore wind power applications with high bearing capacity and good recovery that can be quickly easily constructed. In this study, the finite element method was used to simulate characteristics of helical after installation. For simulations, blade, deeply buried in single layer sand, selected. Through numerical vertical screw an ordinary without blades were compared, compression uplift revealed. addition, effects pitch, blade diameter, inclination angle, number blades, spacing on analyzed. The results show has highest efficiency when pitch is 0.02 times depth, diameter 2.5 multi-blade more than two less or equal three. However, compared straight pile, inclined did not improve significantly.

Study on Load-Bearing Characteristics of a New Pile Group Foundation for an Offshore Wind Turbine

Because offshore wind turbines are high-rise structures, they transfer large horizontal loads and moments to their foundations. One of the keys to designing a foundation is determining the sensitivities and laws affecting its load-bearing capacity. In this study, this procedure was carried out for a new high-rise cap pile group foundation adapted to the loading characteristics of offshore wind ...

Dynamic Soil-Structure Interaction issues in designing offshore wind turbines

 Choosing appropriate foundations for supporting offshore wind turbines is one of the uncertainties in the future rounds of offshore wind power development. Offshore wind turbines are dynamically sensitive structures as the global natural frequency of the whole system is very close to the forcing frequencies (due to the environmental loads and the associated frequencies due to the rotor). This...

Mechanism of Localized Corrosion of Steel Pipe Pile Foundation for Offshore Wind Turbines and Corrosive Action

The wind turbine foundation serves as a permanent construction in the harsh marine corrosive environment, its anticorrosion design is essential to the safe use of the wind turbine structure. At present, there is a significant controversy over the local corrosion mechanism (such as pitting corrosion, and crevice corrosion) and its diffusion mechanism in the academic circle. In the paper, the Far...

Optimization of monopiles for offshore wind turbines.

The offshore wind industry currently relies on subsidy schemes to be competitive with fossil-fuel-based energy sources. For the wind industry to survive, it is vital that costs are significantly reduced for future projects. This can be partly achieved by introducing new technologies and partly through optimization of existing technologies and design methods. One of the areas where costs can be ...
